ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
Different products have different art requirements but in general the best quality & most versatile art is vector art. Vector art is a commonly used file in the Promotional Product, Printing & Signwriting industries.
Vector art is an art file using mathematical algorithms to create an image that can be scaled from a business card to a billboard without losing any resolution. Vector art is also readily edited & manipulated. Unlike raster files like jpg, bitmaps etc which are made up of pixels, Vector art is crisp & clear at any magnification. Word Documents & Power Point documents are also not suitable art files.
If your art is only available as a raster file your art may need to be redrawn in a program such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw. Additional costs may apply. Saving a jpg etc as an eps file doesn’t make vector art. Even if your art requires a raster image, low quality images are also generally of little use. Images taken from websites are often low quality as websites work quicker with lower resolution images. We can help with redrawing your logo if required.
There is an old saying about art files: “Rubbish in – Rubbish Out”
